Status effects!
Due to the first 2 battles I had being murderous, I've decided to implement a new thing of gameplay for boss battles: STATUS EFFECTS!
These aren't for regular play, remember, so don't use them in normal battles... At least not yet.
Anyway, heres how they work: There are now normal and status attacks. if a boss uses a normal attack, the damage on there is done. if a boss uses a Status effect, however, and gets above a 20, then he has a choice: The boss can either do the damage, or use the special status effect listed.
What are the statuses? well, here they are:
POISON: If a character is poisoned, the character takes 5 damage every time someone attacks. Say a boss poisons the player. The player attacks, but the poison does 5 damage to him. Then the Boss attacks, and the poison also continues to do 5 damage on the player.
CONFUSE: If the confused character rolls an odd number, the character does half that damage to himself. If the character rolls an even number, normal damage is done to the Boss.
SLEEP: Puts the character to sleep, making it unable to attack or use items. However, if the boss gets above a 20 on any roll, the character wakes up.
STOP: Similar to sleep, making the character unable to do anything, but it only works for one turn.
Now, I know you're wondering "What if a boss uses these on me? I'm doomed!" Well, you're wrong. The RPG shop now sells the Panacea, which heals you of any status ailment. And it's at a very cheap price, too.

Good Idea Major. That stats effects only you battle a boss. It will makes a little bit tougher!

wait... if you can't use items while you are asleep, then panacea wouldn't be able to be used on sleeping characters

But wouldn't everyone spam the status effect items like crazy? That'd kind of take the fun out of everything! But still, I haven't done a single battle yet. I'm gonna reply to EVERY forum out there to be a SKITTY one day. that way I can blow forum money on sigs and all of that good stuff.
Anywho, Status problems are complicated! I can imagine fighting you and being stopped every few turns. YIKES! But all RPGs (especially CHRONO TRIGGER) are awesome! ESPECIALLY this one because of all the twists and turns.
Oh, and Majorasfan, if you're reading this, you and SS are one of the most awesome people in the world. HUUUUGE fan and I'll be doing RPG battles really soon. I like your idea!

And Chrono trigger is the basis of many of my ideas, and it's where I got all of these. And yes, Item,s would be too easy for people. We have plans later on once people level up a little more, but for now we don't need status effects for non-bosses.

Sooner or later. And who knows? Maybe Majorasfan will add even MORE Status Effects! That'd be complicated!

XD Burn! halves damage from the battle dice and deals 5 damage every turn. That would be annoying. One of the bosses should be Frog, and Frog has 1000 HP and the Masamune! We also need the Nu! XD

Niiiiiiiiiice! But I don't think Majorasfan can play as, like, a million bosses! Hehe... Well, Major is pretty good, and he could probably have like 2 or 3 boss chars, and you choose one. Anyways, it might be possible that they could have bots? (probably unlikely though) Other boss players might be able to manage 2+ bosses as well. Anyways, came up with a new effect: Slow. Slow - every two turns they cant attack?

I was thinking of using slow and all, but.. Well, I cant make us unbeatable, so I'll pump myself up when someone else levels up. XD
As for multiple characters, I could do that with other accounts... Who knows? I'll figure it out. XD

Who knows? Well, Majoasfan, I wouldn't like getting pwned by you, Sonic Sophie, and SS all at once! People have to form alliance if YOUR forming alliances. You and SS against me. That really isn't fair (considering the sheer fact that I only did one battle and lost) because its 2 on 1. So, it should be 2 on 2! So, it should be you and SS VS me and someone like xxqwerty xx (Don't worry, I'm only using you as an example). That way 4 peeps, 4x the fun. Like a Double Battle!!!

hmmm, double battles... Interesting... That would mean we could heal each other, focus attacks on a certain enemy, etc. Alliances might be interesting. We should wait till some ppl lvl up though lol. And Major, you might want to limit the amount of times people can fight bosses for a period of time, like only 3 boss battles per person per week. That way, you can prevent people from continuosly fighting bosses.
