As an overall fighter, frog probably can be considered the best, he can take anybody on solo for the most part except for those who resist water and physical attacks. That's about the only exception. Chrono is good but lacks reliable recovery. Marle has insane recovery but lacks strenght. Lucca has reasonable power but lacks recovery. Ayla has no magic but is very very powerful. Robo is just overall average, doesn't excel in any areas but isn't lagging heavily in any area. Magus the most powerful attack wise but lacks in recovery and a bit on the defensive side. But who cares, Magus is the most epic. XD

Oh my gosh Lucca (Timothy.XD) is pretty good for the Shadows if you don't have Fire, ice, and/or lightning, Good thing Lucca has fire.

Chrono (Shad0w.I know I mispelled Shadow.XD) is pretty good.

Magus well I haven't gotten that far in the game...

Robot (Devon) I personally is better than Lucca.

The team I use is Chrono Ayla Frog Because Chrono has Frenzy and Luminaire which are both good techs, Ayla has awesome speed and strength, and Frog has some of the best healing

It's hard to pick my favorite, but I think I'm going with Robo . I just always keep him in my team (so far) and he's sort-of that all-around type.

The only problem I have with Robo is his speed. I get really annoyed when I have to wait more than 3 seconds for someones turn to come.
